Indiana Heritage Arts Show

The 24th annual Indiana Heritage Arts exhibition and sale is set to open to the public on Saturday, June 8th at the Brown County Art Gallery in Nashville, Indiana. The show will run through June 22nd and will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

All of Indiana’s top artists have entered the competition this year and at least 120 artworks will be on display. All are for sale. Awards totaling over $13,000 were offered in three categories, which included oil paintings, watercolors, pastels, prints, and mixed media. All of the entries had to be completed within the last two years and never exhibited in any Indiana juried show. This year’s judge is the highly recognized Glucester-Rockport artist Charles Movalli.

The “Best of Show” award totals $4,000. There are also category awards, merit awards, memorial awards, and a people’s choice award. The artist winners will be presented with their prizes at an invitation only reception on Friday night with the show and sale opening to the public on Saturday.

Show organizers say the response from artists was overwhelming and the show promises to be one of the best collections of contemporary Indiana artwork brought together in Nashville for many years.

The Brown County Art Gallery is located at the corner of Artist Drive and East Main Street in Nashville.
